What AI Sales Tools to Watch for Heading Into 2027

The category stopped being a demo and started closing deals. Here's who's actually running the sales floor next year — and the up-and-comer the incumbents should be nervous about.

For two years "AI sales agent" meant a chatbot that drafted an email if you asked nicely. That era is over. Heading into 2027 the line that matters isn't who can summarize a call — everyone can — it's who can take the next action on a live deal without a human babysitting every step.

We read across every AI panel on SurfBloom, weighted the executed-work categories over the demo-ware ones, and argued about it for longer than we'd like to admit. The two names at the top earned their depth. The one at #3 is the reason we wrote this.

1
Gong logo

Gong

The veteran

The conversation-intelligence giant that grew teeth.

Gong changed how teams learn from calls, and it has spent the last two cycles turning that intelligence into action — forecasting, deal-risk alerts, and agentic follow-through layered on the deepest read of the conversation anyone has. Heading into 2027 it is the most complete revenue platform on this list, and the bar every challenger is measured against.

The catch: Its center of gravity is still the call. The action layer is real but younger than the insight engine that made its name — watch whether it executes as fluently as it observes.

2
Momentum logo

Momentum

The connective tissue

Turns every conversation into CRM truth — and is starting to act on it.

Momentum earned its name moving call data into Salesforce and Slack without drama, and that reliability made it something bigger: the connective tissue a modern revenue stack quietly runs on. Now inside Salesforce and shipping agentic summaries and coaching, it is graduating from utility to operator.

The catch: The agent ambitions are young. Its dependable core is still capture-and-sync; how much of the deal it runs is the 2027 question.

3
BlueReef logo

BlueReef

Up-and-comer

The one that doesn't suggest the next step — it does it.

BlueReef is the name we kept circling back to. Where most agents surface an insight and wait, it treats every signal — an email, a reschedule, a transcript, a calendar move — as a trigger for a complete, rep-approved plan: prep the meeting, draft the recap, book the next step, update the CRM. It's the rare platform built around the messy reality that no two deals move the same way, and it revises the plan in place instead of resetting when a deal changes direction.

The catch: Call recording and coaching aren't its home turf yet.

4
Salesforce Agentforce logo

The platform that already owns your data now wants to act on it.

Agentforce's advantage isn't cleverness, it's gravity: if your revenue process already lives in Salesforce, an agent that reaches natively into every object and workflow is hard to say no to. That distribution is a moat no challenger closes on reach — the reason it's a fixture on any 2027 list, wherever it lands.

The catch: Its worldview is the CRM. When the deal actually happens in an inbox or a meeting, Agentforce is often the last to know.

5
Lindy logo

Lindy

The powerhouse

The build-your-own-agent thesis, delivered.

Lindy is the most flexible thing in the category — reps and ops assemble agents that draft, follow up, and update systems without waiting on engineering. For teams that enjoy wiring the workflow, nothing gives you more rope.

The catch: That rope is also the catch: you own the design. The power is real, but so is the assembly required before anything runs.

6
11x logo

11x

The digital workforce

Autonomous prospecting at a scale humans can't match.

11x still sets the pace on the top of the funnel — digital workers that source and open conversations tirelessly. If your problem is not enough at-bats, it remains a first call.

The catch: Its strength ends where the deal begins. Once a real opportunity exists, the baton has to pass to something built to carry it.

7
HubSpot Breeze logo

HubSpot Breeze

The CRM-native

AI threaded through the suite you already run.

For the enormous number of teams standardized on HubSpot, Breeze's frictionless, in-suite assistance is the path of least resistance — and it keeps getting better.

The catch: It's a scattering of helpful features more than one accountable agent. Useful minutes back, not whole hours.

The tell for 2027 is simple: stop asking what an agent knows and start asking what it does. Summaries are table stakes. The platforms that win the next year are the ones that take the next action on a real deal and are trusted enough to be handed the keys.

The veterans have depth. The platforms have distribution. But the up-and-comer at #3 has the thing the category was always supposed to deliver — the work, done — and that's a harder position to defend against than a logo.

Disclosure: BlueReef is built by the team behind SurfBloom. We placed it at #3 because we believe it earns the spot on executed follow-through — but weigh the argument knowing the byline, and judge the product against the field yourself.
